REVEALING AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS BOOK COVER // the torch keepers by hosanna emily

I really like turquoise. It's such a clean, aesthetic color. <3 And you know what? There aren't many turquiose book covers out there! When you think about it, this is rather shocking. A serious issue. *pouts*

BUT, what sparked that realization in the first place is the book cover I'm revealing today! I'm sure you can guess what one of its primary colors is. XD

I'm incredibly excited for The Torch Keepers by Hosanna Emily. Hosanna has one of the most precious, most encouraging blogs in existence (Having a Heart Like His - check it out!), which God has used to inspire me again and again through her amazing posts. Ever since she first announced she was releasing this book, I've known without a doubt that it's full of light and hope and Jesus. I can hardly wait to read it!

To tide us over until release day - September 1, 2019 eeeeeeeep - we've got a gorgeous cover to drool over. I'm so excited to share it that I won't even make you do any scrolling. ;)

And HERE IT IS.

Isn't it SO PRETTY??? I can't get enough of all that turquoise. *heart eyes*

Did you think we were done? Well, we're not. Nobody's allowed to leave until they've read the blurb! (Okay, so you can leave whenever you want, of course, but... don't you want to know what it's about?? XD)

~

The King's blue flame quivers as a new fire arises, and Kadira must hold fast to the torch.  It's destiny; she's a torch keeper.

A fiery revolution sweeps across the kingdom of Érkeos, and each person must choose a side.  Kadira, a girl set apart to serve the King, finds her city engulfed in emerald flames.  Her blue eyes mark her as the enemy, and she flees from death.  It stalks her anyway.  When she meets Rekém, the Liberation warrior sent to kill her, she rebels against the King's ways.  Two armies collide; indecision isn't an option.  As hearts and lives hang in the balance, Kadira and Rekém could bring destruction or liberation to the entire kingdom.

Doesn't it sound stunning?

You thought we were done for real now, but NOPE NOW IT'S TIME FOR A GIVEAWAY. *flailing*

I'm sorry that I haven't had a "real" post up lately (life is CRAZY o_O), but I promise that after one more super exciting blog tour type of post early next month, I'll be back to regular posting. That doesn't mean I'm back to a schedule, though, lol. This "two posts a month" thing has been refreshing and is allowing me to relax and really enjoy putting together posts for the future. I have plans, y'all. *cough* One or two plans.

I'll wrap things up with one more beautiful pic...

I. AM. SO. PUMPED.

The Lord's Truly,

Isn't that cover pretty?? Are you excited for The Torch Keepers? Do you like the color turquoise? Talk to me in the comments! :D

PUBLISHED ON HAVOK A SECOND TIME // also, sorry for the hiatus!

Ugh, Monday. Maybe we've put a darker coat on this dreaded day of the week than it deserves. But, although I don't totally understand why everyone hates it so much, I understand it enough. It's often annoying to leave a nice, relaxing weekend behind to return to the regular routine of work or school.

Some of us *cough* happen to be on spring break right now, so if that includes you, the usually infamous start of the week probably doesn't look too shabby. As for me, I happen to have another reason to be happy about Monday:

I've been published on Havok a second time!

I'll be brief: If any of you have ever liked the sound of my WIP Dusted Red, then you might not want to miss this one. Because Havok's featured story today happens to be a backstory (the events of the story happen waaaay before the events of my novel) featuring two characters from my beloved novel-in-progress. :D

I couldn't be more excited that two of my novel characters get to debut in the publishing world. It's much earlier than I was expecting. <333

If you're interested in reading Every Drop of Soul, simply hop on over to Havok's website before midnight strikes - it's only free for today, March 11! ^_^

~~~
Now, onto my most sincere and deepest apologies for the fact that I went on hiatus without announcing it. I didn't even know it was happening until it happened, though, so it's not like I planned it. You see, the end of February and beginning of March were CRAZY - not in a bad way - and blogging ended up falling to the wayside. Life slapped it out of my grasp, lol.
I'm not surprised, though, and I'm actually okay with letting blogging slide sometimes. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I have greater priorities.
Soooo, I've been thinking I should tone down on how much blogging I push myself to do every month. One post a week is turning out to be a lot, so I've decided to knock it down to two posts a month. Which basically cuts my monthly content in half, but... I can already tell it's for the best. :)))
I feel that this way, I'll be able to enjoy blogging to the fullest. A lot of the pressure will be gone, I'll be able to take more time editing and rewriting, and overall it'll be a win-win for everyone! Quality over quantity, my friends. And I know modifying my schedule in this way slaughters some of the consistency that helps build and maintain views, but I'll be frank with you - I don't care. It brings me such joy to see my following grow (I silently squeal over EVERY new follower!), but I'd rather keep blogging fun and not have a lot of views than build a big following and make blogging stressful.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say today. I'm not sure exactly when, but you can expect another post from me soon!
Thank you so much for reading my smol words. It means so, so much to me. <3
